Baby Talk is a 5-week baby and caregiver group, facilitated by a Speech-Language Pathologist. The program offers parents/caregivers the opportunity to learn strategies for supporting their baby’s language development while providing an opportunity to play with their baby and meet other families.
Learn to encourage your baby’s language development from an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Have fun with your baby! What could be better than focused time down on the floor with your baby, sharing laughs, talking and playing?
Explore and play with toys, songs and games designed to promote communication with your baby, as well as experiment with non-toy objects you likely already have in your home
Meet other parents and babies to make new connections with families in our community
Ask all of your burning questions! Most families only access SLP services when they are concerned about their child’s speech and language development. This class provides an opportunity to ask questions of an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist!
The next session of Baby Talk will be held on Thursdays at 11:30 AM. Sessions will run the weeks of October 10th, October 17th, October 24th, October 31st and November 7th, 2024.
The cost for the 5-week program is $300.
The fee includes the following:
5 classes
Class kit of age-appropriate toys and books to use during and after classes
Weekly handout of strategies learnt and at home practice ideas
Most extended health benefits cover speech and language services for parent training and consultation. Participants with speech and language coverage through their benefits plans may be able to obtain reimbursement towards the Baby Talk program. It is each participant's responsibility to check his/her coverage. An official receipt will be provided to each participant at the completion of the program.
